Mathias Roef is an Account Manager at Vandelanotte. The portfolio of clients using Mathias’s financial consulting services spans the range from family businesses to international corporations. Mathias also has a role as an auditor and authorised signatory – in this capacity he assumes final responsibility for assurance and auditing tasks.

Background

In 2008, Mathias completed his Master’s diploma in Applied Economic Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Eight years later, he was awarded the title of auditor from the Belgian Institute of Auditors, the Instituut van de Bedrijfsrevisoren (IBR).

Experience

Mathias began his professional career as an auditor immediately after leaving school, when he joined a firm in Brussels responsible for representing the international Constantin Group in Belgium. This firm subsequently merged with Vandelanotte, and Mathias moved over to Vandelanotte but remained in the audit department in Brussels. He continued to develop his career in auditing and in 2017 he was promoted to Team Manager of the audit team in Aalst, a post he occupied for two years. He has also been an Account Manager since 2017 and continues to develop his client portfolio.

Over the years, Mathias has accumulated a vast store of expertise in audits (from large family businesses to international enterprises), consolidations and group reporting. He is also highly capable when it comes to legal tasks such as contributions in kind, dissolving companies or company transformations.
