Veerle Buyl Associate - Partner Corporate Finance
Profile
In addition to carrying out various management tasks, Veerle advises and guides Vandelanotte's clients in various corporate finance projects (such as the valuation, restructuring, financing and transfer and takeover of companies) and in negotiations.
Education
Veerle obtained a Master’s in Law from Ghent University and completed the 'Executive Masterclass Corporate Finance' course at the Vlerick Business School.
Experience
After finishing her studies, Veerle started her career at the Ghent Bar where she spent eight years as a lawyer. In 2004 she gave the opening speech at the opening of the judicial year in Ghent. In 2005 Veerle decided to leave the Bar and made the switch to Vandelanotte. As Legal Manager, she was responsible for carrying out legal due diligences, drawing up all sorts of contracts and conducting negotiations. However, it soon became clear that Veerle had a passion for mergers and acquisitions. In 2010 she started her own department 'Vandelanotte Corporate Finance'. Since 2014 Veerle Buyl has been the partner responsible for Corporate Finance at Vandelanotte. In addition, she is also responsible for managing the team of (assistant) account managers in the Kortrijk, Bruges, Ghent and Tournai regions.
Other professional commitments
Since February 2012 Veerle has been a director at the Belgian Corporate Finance Association, an association within the sector that not only focuses on its members and the sector, but also aims to spread the added value of the corporate finance and M&A activities to a large community.
